We are seeking a Senior Manager: Financial Control & Analysis to join a dynamic team within the public sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a key role in financial governance, risk management, and strategic decision-making. You will lead financial control and analysis functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices while driving commercial efficiency.

This role will need to operate through an Umbrella company and all employer, employee tax and NI will be deducted from the rate., * Lead the financial control & analysis function, ensuring robust financial governance
* Oversee risk management, compliance, and financial reporting processes
* Advise senior stakeholders on investment regulations and financial strategies
* Influence decision-making at executive levels through financial insights
* Manage a team, driving performance and managing change effectively
* Ensure adherence to Managing Public Money rules and best practices
* Competitive daily rate of up to £550 (Umbrella) * Hybrid working - flexible office/home split * Opportunity to influence high-level financial strategy * Work within a dynamic, high-impact environment * Develop leadership skills in a high-profile public sector role
* Significant post-qualification experience (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent) * Strong understanding of risk management, governance, and public sector finance * Demonstrable commercial experience and knowledge of investment regulations * Experience balancing stakeholder needs within financial constraints * Expertise across multiple financial disciplines and business finance options * Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively * Proven leadership experience, managing teams through change * OPEX experience preferred rather than banking Desirable: * Experience in rail or construction industries at a senior level * Public sector experience is highly advantageous
