Redefine the Future of Smart Spaces

We're working exclusively with a forward-thinking consultancy at the forefront of smart building innovation-and after personally meeting with the client, we can confidently say: this is an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and skilled Digital Building Engineer ready to step into a role where your voice matters, your ideas are heard, and your growth is unlimited.

They're looking for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment, can represent the business at industry events, and enjoys working independently while contributing to high-impact, multi-sector projects.

What You'll Do:
* Lead the design and delivery of BMS and smart building solutions across commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, and data centre projects.
* Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and translate them into cutting-edge digital systems.
* Produce key technical documentation: smart building schematics, point schedules, network architectures, sequences of operation, and performance specs.
* Collaborate with experts across BMS, ICT, AV, and security systems to deliver holistic, integrated building technologies.
* Represent the company at meetings, events, and presentations-building trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
* Conduct technical assessments, system surveys, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
* Participate in commissioning activities, system testing, and snagging on behalf of the client.
* Oversee elements of tender management and project reporting to ensure smooth project delivery from design to implementation.

What They're Looking For:
* Experience in smart buildings, BMS design, or building controls, ideally across multiple project types.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills-you're comfortable presenting ideas and building rapport.
* Confident working independently, managing your own time, and taking ownership of projects.
* Technically sound, with the ability to translate complex systems into clear, client-friendly language.
* A natural collaborator who can bridge the gap between digital design and real-world delivery.

Why This Role is Special:
* I've met the client myself-they're passionate about what they do, have a supportive and empowering culture, and truly value their team.
* Unlimited growth potential-this isn't a static position it's a launchpad for your future in digital buildings.
* Client-facing exposure-you'll be the trusted face of the company on key projects and events.
* Innovation at its core-work alongside experts in one of the most progressive digital building environments in the UK.
