Position: Assembly Operatives

Salary: £24,200 - Early Shift - 6:00am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday & 6:00am to 11:00am on Friday

Salary: £28,319 - Late Shift - 14.30pm to 11.00pm Monday to Thursday & 11:00am to 4.00pm on Friday

Location: Thame

Proactive are currently recruiting for a number of production Operatives to work in Thame. Candidates will ideally have assembly or machine operation experience and need their own transport unless they live in Thame or the surrounding area due limited public transport links

You will be required to provide a highly flexible response to variations in demand with minimum supervision, carrying out production activities relating to the manufacture of components and assembly of product. All successful candidates will be required to use hand tools, follow written instructions, work at a work bench throughout the day.

Duties will include:

  • Working with minimum supervision, work in any area of component manufacturing.
  • Manual assembly, operation of industrial machinery and semi-skilled fabrication
  • Ensure that all products are stored tidily and correctly identified.
  • Accurately maintain production records, product records and other records.
  • Liaise with Team Leaders and ensure stock levels are kept up to date.
  • Alert the Production Manager or other appropriate staff of any plant or equipment maintenance issues.
  • Offer suggestions to the Team Leader/Line Manager that will improve the efficiency and safety of production areas and equipment.
  • Raise awareness of manufacturing problems with the Production Manager and work with others to find and effectively implement solutions.


Experience / Skills Required:

  • Good IT skills
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience assembling products
  • Able to multitask successfully
