What you'll be doing as the Field Engineer:

  • Ensuring water regulations compliance through on-site inspections.
  • Liaising with customers, contractors, and councils to keep projects running smoothly.
  • Performing site inspections on sewer connections and adoptions, ensuring high standards.
  • Carrying out Health & Safety audits and championing safe practices.
  • This is a field-based role covering London and the Thames Water region, so flexibility and travel are required.

  • Experience in traffic management, water regulations, main laying, or water networks.
  • A solid understanding of Health & Safety, Streetworks standards, and NRSWA / TMA.
  • Strong communication skills—you’ll be working with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
  • A plumbing or pipeline construction background would be a bonus.

Full training is provided for candidates with relevant experience. If you're eager to learn and grow within your field, we want to hear from you.

Base Location: Hogsmill - Kingston - KT1 3BW. The role primarily involves travel across South East London, with occasional travel across South London.

Hours: 38 hours per week Mon-Fri 7:30-15:36.

What’s in it for you?

  • 24 days of holiday, increasing to 28 days with service.
  • Generous contributory pension scheme – up to 12% of company contribution.
