Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team within Birmingham Children's Trust. This is a key leadership role suited to candidates with strong experience in children's services, particularly supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children within the care system.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Birmingham Children's Trust as they continue to deliver high-quality services, having recently achieved a GOOD rating from Ofsted. The Trust is committed to providing excellent outcomes for children and young people, including some of the most vulnerable in the system.

About the UASC Team:
Unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) are young people under 18 who arrive in the UK alone, without a parent or guardian, and apply for asylum in their own right. Birmingham Children's Trust has the statutory responsibility to assess and provide care, typically through the children in care pathway. The UASC team is responsible for delivering this specialist support.

Essential Requirements:

  • Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Previous experience of managing a UASC or Looked After Children team
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory responsibilities
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
