We are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient individual to join our Pitt Building Events team as an Events Assistant, where you will provide a professional reception service at our prestigious and newly refurbished conference venue in Cambridge city centre., In this front-facing role, you'll provide a professional reception service and support the smooth, successful delivery of meetings, events, training courses, and exhibitions. You'll be the first point of contact for visitors, helping to create a welcoming and memorable experience.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* Deliver a warm, efficient, and professional reception service
* Assist in the operational delivery of events, training sessions, and exhibitions
* Promote our conference, event, and hospitality services
* Support catering services and ensure high standards of presentation
* Help maintain the safety, security, and appearance of the Pitt Building
* Contribute to our environmental sustainability goals
This role is a part time job share, and the working hours will be Mon-Fri 12.45pm-17.45pm, although there will be opportunities for flexible hours, overtime and evening and weekend work.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate: * Strong communication, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills * Ability to work collaboratively in a team and job-share setting * A passion for delivering excellent customer service * Confidence in troubleshooting basic IT software and hardware * A flexible and adaptable approach to work
