You will have the opportunity to work across Permissions Sales, Rights Sales, Special Sales, eVendor and licensing activities, primarily focusing on Permissions in the first instance.
You will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of a variety of Permissions Sales activities, through the use of dedicated systems and processes and by being the day-to-day contact for queries from colleagues, authors, and customers. Working with the Permissions manager, you will negotiate and agree new licences and form close relationships with copyright licensing agencies.
As part of the Business Development team, you will assist the Rights manager with local administrative support, including the management of translated book copies, and the organisation and planning of both internal and external conferences. You will support the wider team with establishing workflows, processes, templates and tools as appropriate and ensure all documentation is housed correctly and kept up to date.

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Associate to support our busy sales and licensing team., You will have excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with some experience interacting with customers. You will need to problem solve, and be skilled at interpreting queries and effective prioritisation. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for this role, as is organisation and creative thinking. You should have a good level of technical ability, fully proficient with Microsoft and experience with a CRM, financial, or Rights management system is preferable. Previous publishing, or sales, licensing or business development experience will be extremely beneficial.
