Rullion is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanical fitter to become part of an established rolling stock company based out of Wembley. You will play a pivotal role as part of the maintenance team dedicated to a High-Speed locomotive fleet.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
* Your responsibilities will include utilising the wheel lathe to reprofile wheelsets, guaranteeing that the geometry of the wheel running surface aligns with specifications. Alongside operating the wheel lathe, you'll assist maintenance teams in achieving production, quality, and safety objectives by offering expert guidance and performing hands-on repairs on rolling stock units
* To work as a member of a team to service, maintain, repair and overhaul fleet locomotives, coaching stock and equipment.
* Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Production Manager and comply with all depot protection procedures.
* Understand and abide to safety notices, rules and regulations and follow safe working practices, H & S.A.W. and C.O.S.H.H.
* Adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current standard.
* Work as part of a team, complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specification.

Be responsible for:
* Routine exam work.
* Routine primary fault finding (to level of competency).
* Component exchange.
* Stores provision.

Candidate requirements:
* Educated to GCSE standard.
* Time served apprenticeship (Level 3 or equivalent) with Mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds, SVQ, NVQ) or recognized equivalent.
* Practical knowledge and experience of mechanical and / or electric engineering.
* Experience of working to procedures, work instructions and vehicle maintenance instruction.
