Locum Employment Lawyer

* Conducting a high standard of Employment work and have TUPE knowledge
* Providing advice to Senior Managers in Council departments and other Officers and staff in HR on a wide range of employment law issues and claims made against the Authority
* Having a very good client working relationship, with the ability to pick up complex work
* Undertaking both contentious and non-contentious employment respondent work
* Conducting a caseload which may include Employment Tribunal cases, compromise agreements, internal appeals and appeals against Employment Tribunal decisions, unfair / constructive dismissal, whistle blowing, discrimination law, Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations, contracts of employment, reorganisation and redundancy and conduct and capability cases
This assignment is offered on a full or part time basis for an initial duration of three months, subject to potential extension thereafter. Both hybrid and remote working applicants will be considered., An umbrella rate of £55 per hour DOE is offered for this position. Candidates will be considered on a case by case basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with previous Employment Law experience, preferably gained within the public sector, to become a part of a well-established local authority team.
