Kent County Council is recruiting for experienced Children in Care (CIC) Social Workers to join their team based in Whitstable or Broadstairs. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a stable and supportive environment, ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care.

• Manage a caseload of Looked After Children (LAC)

• Develop and review care plans that support children's safety, health, and development

• Conduct statutory visits and ensure all legal requirements are met

• Liaise with foster carers, residential workers, education providers, and health professionals

• Prepare and present reports for LAC reviews and court hearings

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and high-quality case records

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

• Minimum of 2-3 years post-qualifying experience in children's services

• Strong knowledge of legislation and procedures around looked after children

• Excellent report writing, assessment, and communication skills

• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and professionals
