Butler Rose is pleased to be exclusively supporting our client with the recruitment of a confident and commercially astute finance professional ready to take full ownership of the finance function within a growing SME.

A successful and growing business based in Milton Keynes is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in a hands-on, sole-charge capacity. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the go-to person for all things finance - from daily operations through to strategic planning and commercial support.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to play a key role in an ambitious, product-led business where you'll have real impact and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for day-to-day finance operations including invoicing, payroll, VAT returns and bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, P&L, and KPI reporting
  • Weekly cash flow reporting and forecasting (short and long term)
  • Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning in collaboration with senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements; liaison with external accountants and auditors
  • Supporting decision-making with financial modelling and commercial analysis
  • Managing the accounting system and continually improving financial controls and processes

About You:

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE
  • Previous experience in a senior finance role within an SME is essential
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting principles, tax and compliance
  • Confident user of Excel
  • Self-starter, highly organised and able to work independently
  • Commercially aware with a problem-solving mindset and strong interpersonal skills
