We have an exiting new role supporting the Security Risk & Assurance Manager improve and develop our intelligence gathering and evaluation processes.
Job purpose

To deliver reliable, actionable intelligence concerning security risks to the client in order to identify threats, vulnerabilities and impacts and contribute to creating a safe and secure environment for client's people and assets.
Scope of the role

Provide the highest standards of intelligence collation, evaluation, and analysis to support key decision making that supports a risk to resource deployment for the client. Support the Risk Manager to provide intelligence and data led risk analysis of the Manchester City Council Estate, utilising data to drive solutions based on historical instances and potential reoccurrences through horizon scanning.
Key accountabilities and measures
* Proactively deliver intelligence from qualitative and quantitative sources including but not limited to Merlin X and draw assessments and conclusions based on client security needs.
* Analyse trends and present actionable intelligence to provide advice to more effectively manage security resources
* Create intelligence products to identify threats, vulnerabilities and risks to our client's operations and wider estate
* Present intelligence and structured reporting to the client leadership and if necessary, wider authorities
* Bring to the fore innovations in threat intelligence to enhance the capability and reputation of the organisation as an industry leader in the security space
* Work and communicate with Intelligence Analysts as appropriate to ensure Required support is effectively leveraged and wider situational awareness is maintained
* Deliver intelligence and oral briefings to client and leadership as required
* Drive the analytical work as a senior intelligence analyst to lead and produce a variety of intelligence products.
* Responsible for quality control of all intelligence products and communications.
* Lead and Complete ad-hoc projects as designated by management or client on time and to a high standard of quality
* Enhance the service to the client through relationship building, partnership development and identification of innovative security intelligence solutions
* Support the major incident response of the contract, by providing local/regional context and assisting in the provision of effective communications to all relevant stakeholders in a timely, accurate and concise manner.
* Brief contract based Mitie senior leadership on major risks and incidents affecting the organisation and client's brand and the assets they manage when manager is absent.
* Deputise for the Risk Manager in all aspects of the role when required
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and Company and Client quality standards

Key Skills and Experience
* Strong analytical ability - experienced in use of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, Power BI, and use of intelligence databases
* Experience in writing strategic and tactical reports
* Strong understanding of threats, vulnerabilities and risks that have ability to impact the contract, Mitie and Manchester City Council
* An excellent communicator with experience in delivering oral and written presentations to senior leadership
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with a strong teamwork ethic
* Good educational background and a solid command of written and spoken English
* Experience of working within a demanding fast-paced environment and guiding major incident communications
* Effective communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
* Reliable, flexible, and discreet
* Solid organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and achieve deadlines

Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience creating intelligence reports and communicating findings to a high standard
* Relevant experience in the security and intelligence space
* Experience with operating with the intelligence cycle
* Degree educated or equivalent ability
* Excellent open-source intelligence research ability
* Familiar with the UK National Intelligence Models
* Membership of a professional body
* Security cleared or prepared to undertake additional vetting
