About the team:

The GPO Model Transformation Team will define, design, deploy, drive embedment and continuous improvement of the Model (at an enterprise level). Bringing Functions and Markets on the journey (Exec down) to drive consensus and the shift to this model will be aligned with the organisation. The team will work in partnership with a broad range of partners to agree, codify and deliver new ways to work across the business. This could involve everything from defining clearer decision rights/RACIs between teams across the end-to-end change journey, to shaping the organisational set up needed to support it. Key partners will include but are not limited to; Global Process Executive (GPE), Owners (GPOs), and Leads (GPLs), as well as functions such as the Strategy & Transformation Team, Digital Technology and Data Team, Controls, and Transformation Programs.

Note: This team does not define the standards for business processes/capabilities themselves (e.g. for Finance), instead it will define the common approach needed across all GPO Teams to stand up the model consistently.

About the role:

The GPO Model Capability & Program Manager will play a key role in driving this organisational and cultural shift, shaping the design, deployment, embedment and continuous improvement of the Model (at an enterprise level). Partnering and engaging teams across the organisation to consensus into the vision, direction and plan to enable the ground-breaking shifts required. This involve building and delivering new people and organisational capabilities, ways of working, central processes and the tools needed to shift Diageo to a GPO Model aligned organisation.

Role Responsibilities:

* Bring the business on the GPO Model journey, engaging and onboarding functions
* Provide thought leadership to shape co-design, deployment, embedment and continuous improvement of the Model (enterprise level) working with internal and/or external partners
* Operationalize the strategy by translating it into the changes needed to establish the model - this will involve shaping, enabling and delivering directly or through others the:
* Organisational set up and capabilities (people, process, technology and data)
* Standards where a common approach across GPO Teams and / or the org is needed
* Decision-making frameworks and ways of working that champion outcome, people, process first approach to transformation and continuous improvement
* Communication and engagement to establish the right sponsorship and buy in / shifts
* Build, drive and orchestrate activity across the program plan, strategically guiding the program team to deliver the program vision and objectives, proactively handle risks/issues

Role responsibilities:

* Program handle the long and short term plan to drive outcomes
* Support end to end definition and delivery of the GPO Model - documented in playbooks
* Define and track overall maturity versus GPO Model maturity curve to inform future plans
* Organisational set up and capability: Define, align and enable the right operating model and the supporting people, process, tech and data capabilities required to establish the model
* Define, shape and operationalize GPO Model common standards: Standards provide clarity on what's needed from teams to operationalize the model (e.g., common approaches to critical metric, process definition, maturity assessment)
* Simpler and clearer decision-making frameworks and codified transformation approach: Define and operationalize frameworks to embed roles into the organisation with clear ways of working and decision rights, inc. critical programs
* Engagement: Build awareness and help align Functions on the why and what to shift to an GPO aligned organisation
* Minimum 8-10 years experience driving organisational-wide end-to-end transformation, establishing Global Process/Capability Model Frameworks or Operating Models * Consistent track record of winning hearts and minds to motivate change and transformation that requires a well-rounded 'people, process, technology and data' change approach * Proven track record to drive clarity out of ambiguity and embed change in complex, fast paced, large and multi-layered matrix organizations * Ability to build and maintain relationships based on openness, mutual trust and respect * Brilliant execution to high standards with deep personal accountability for driving outcomes * Experience working across multiple countries/geographies/cultures * Ideally formal training PMP and BPM methodologies (e.g., Green Belt Lean Six Sigma) * Understanding of Product Management beneficialKey skills * Translating big picture strategic/conceptual thinking into practical solutions and execution * Building strong partner relationships in matrix organisations (up to senior leader level) and able to challenge openly and resolve conflict * End to end organisational transformation delivery - ideally in 'greenfield' environments * Able to flex leadership style and adapt to cultural differences * Confident communicator and storyteller * Change Management, Program Management and Workshop Facilitation skills * Building People CapabilityFlexible Working Statement: Flexibility is key to our success.
