Occupational Therapist - Aids and Adaptations - Wolverhampton
Location: Wolverhampton
Role: Locum Occupational Therapist - Independent Living Service
Hours: 27 hours per week (Days/times to be agreed at interview)
Rate: £34-£36 per hour (DOE)
Contract: Ongoing locum contract

Wolverhampton Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their Independent Living Service on a part-time locum basis.

This is a field-based role focusing on aids and adaptations for individuals with complex health and social care needs. You will complete functional assessments in the community and recommend appropriate equipment and/or home adaptations to promote safety and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out assessments for adults with complex needs

Recommending aids, adaptations, and minor/major equipment

Working closely with service users, carers, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes

Preparing detailed reports and completing documentation in line with service standards

Requirements:
HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

Previous experience in aids and adaptations (essential)

Strong understanding of legislation including the Care Act and housing-related OT assessments

Ability to work independently in the community

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
