We have an exciting full-time opportunity, for a versatile and enthusiastic Stores operative to join our Logistics team. The candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to use their own initiative, responsive to company and customer requirements, pro-active and versatile with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.

Activities would include accounting and daily issues and receipts of field equipment in line with training requirements, carry out inspections and conduct maintenance/repairs whenever needed. These activities will be conducted utilising MOD IT applications and in line with Defence policy, assuring the exact and timely service delivery.

The successful candidate is required to be well-organised, confident with credible communication skills, readily able and willing to contribute at all levels. In addition, the individual will need to be versatile, intuitive, professional with good judgement and demonstrate absolute integrity. Will need to be proactive and responsive to changing needs of the business and demands of the customer, while remaining calm under pressure. The incumbent will need to be reliable and well presented, giving a positive image of MITIE company values

Other attributes requirements:
* Experience of working within a store's environment. (training will be given)
* Experience of delivering good customer faced quality service and the ability to develop close working relationships.
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety.
* Effective interpersonal communication skills.
* IT Literate with a good working knowledge of MS applications (excel).
* Forklift experience would be an advantage, not essential, as training will be given.

Main Responsibilities will include:
* Working within a Defence stores office environment.
* Accountability of Stock in line with Defence Policies.
* Conduct analysis of current stock holdings against future expectations.
* Review requests and manage demand expectations.
* Review current stock holdings through analysis to upscale & descaling of holdings.
* Revers Supply Chain knowledge would be an advantage.
* Dealing with customer enquiries.
* Manage in & outbound MFO shipments for unaccompanied service personnel.
* Liaising with internal & external contractors.
* Maintain Registers
* Manage the in & outbound weekly laundry service via internal contractor.
* Actively promote a safe working culture and adhere to Health and Safety requirements.
* Use of IT & MS applications (excel).
* Undertake any additional tasks as determined by the Line Manager, including leading on change to meet the emerging needs of the business.
