An exciting opportunity working in a prestigious location on the Transport for London account. The location is the London Transport Museum based in Acton comprising of a 24/7, 365-day operation that will require security to support the museum management team to ensure a seamless, compliant access to the site and ensure all staff and visitors have a best-in-class customer experience as well as the confidence to know that security are providing a safe environment.

The role will comprise day shift 4 on 2 off pattern working 07:00 to 19:00 and located in the museum reception. The role comprises multiple benefits provided by Mitie as well as a free Oyster travel pass that can be used both during and outside of work.

Job Purpose

* To provide a high-level professional customer service at a corporate level to clients' staff, contractors and visitors
* To ensure good engagement and communication with the museum management to understand day-to-day activities and visitor requirements

* To manage visitor sign in process and issue visitor passes and direct them to their desired location ensuring correct details are checked, verified
* Ensure passes are returned at the end of their visit and document the process
* To have a responsibility within the building fire related procedure and to receive fire panel training

* To advise and implement best practice(s) through the introduction of new Initiatives that help to motivate, improve, and maintain a very high-level professional service
* To monitor CCTV and be pro-active when suspicious activity is identified
* To act as a role model, demonstrating and promoting standards expected by Mitie Security creating the energy and enthusiasm for the service.
* To maintain dress code at the highest standard while representing Mite and our client

Principal Accountabilities
* The delivery of a quality service and positive interaction with TFL customers is critical to the completion of all the tasks within this job description.
* To be engaging in a welcome for internal and external customers to the client's facility, informing them of premises access control and emergency procedures and always helpful.
* To ensure telephones and emails are answered promptly and politely, taking details and messages from incoming calls and passing these messages to the appropriate persons.
* To be responsible for ensuring that information given to staff and visitors is accurate and timely.
* To be responsible for liaising with the site management ensuring full understanding of day-to-day activities are understood and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the reception area environment.
* To ensure that all areas of reception are always kept clean and tidy.
* Compliance with Mitie Security Ltd and its customer's confidentiality policy statements.
* That no eating of food or drinking of hot or cold drinks take place in reception, that gives a poor impression of the service.
* That receptionist ensures the desk is clean and tidy and clutter free and that no cards are left on the desk (vulnerable -at risk of being taken).
* To conduct effective patrols around the estate ensuring the valuable artifacts are protected from damage and that no unauthorised individuals are on premises.
