Role Purpose

Reports to the Finance Director, Mitie Projects and is responsible for the design and implementation of commercial and financial controls fit for purpose for a large-scale projects business within Mitie. This role will ensure the successful execution of Project Bedrock, aligning with Mitie's strategic pillars of Projects Upsell and Enhance Margin.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Project Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of standard approaches to subcontractor management, CVRs, financial reporting, forecasting, and document management across Mitie Projects businesses.
* Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders including Mitie Projects ExCo, Mitie FLT, MDs in Mitie Fire & Security, CC&D, PPS, and JCA, Procurement, IS, and Finance Global Process Owners.
* Third-Party Coordination: Engage and manage any required third party support to deliver the programme successfully.
* Governance: Establish and maintain project governance structures, ensuring that key stakeholders are aware of progress, issues and required decisions.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
* Change Management: Develop and implement a change management plan, including communications, training, and resistance management strategies.
* Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial aspects of the project, including budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
About this Role
This is a senior appointment within the Projects Division. At this level will be directly accountable for the delivery of the programme to the Projects ExCo.
Education: Appropriate qualifications and experience to support the requirements of the programme.
Experience: Proven track record in leading complex projects within a finance or commercial environment, and managing multiple senior stakeholders and communities.
Skills: Excellent analytical skills, strong stakeholder management, and effective communication abilities. Comfortable working in a matrix environment.
Attributes: High level of integrity, commitment to governance, and ability to inspire and motivate teams, whether directly managed or virtual.
