Venn Group are working with a local authority client in London to recruit an IT Project Manager to deliver a Windows 11 upgrade and rollout., * Develop a comprehensive project plan for the rollout of devices with W11 across the estate, together with deliverables and milestones
* Work with users to coordinate project tasks and ensure that information needed for the refresh is provided and timelines met
* Create and oversee the Windows 11 deployment process, to ensure that the rollout order is managed and adhered to
* Manage 2x Windows 11 Rollout Desktop Engineers
* Plan and oversee the migration of one of the organisation's core applications to a hosted Citrix environment
* Support the Technical Architect in ensuring application testing and readiness including ensuring specialist software required for accessibility reasons
* Implement and maintain the asset management tool, ensuring all new devices and software under Windows 11 are registered
* Arrange and chair monthly Programme Board meetings to report progress
* Arrange weekly catch-up meetings to provide updates on progress and to ensure project remains on track
* Maintain the Risk Log and Actions Log
* Work with comms to ensure programme and project timescales are understood
* Provide detailed documentation around deployment process including guides and procedures/processes
* Ensure end-user training and support is in place post migration
* Experience of working within the public sector * Knowledge of Windows operating systems, deployment tools (including InTune and AutoPilot), and desktop/server infrastructure * Demonstrated experience in managing IT projects with an understanding of principles including Agile, preferably with a focus on operating system migrations * Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and technical teams * Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and project challenges * Ability to manage and present to all levels of the organisation
