National Transport Planner
Ref: 5fefad7c3fa64f9cba476ab8a49d29d9Contract, Shift: Six months Fixed Term Contract, Part Time - Monday, Tuesday & Friday - 8 hours per day
We offer hybrid working; however, this role requires onsite presence in Peterborough on Tuesdays and at least two days per week during the training period.
This role goes beyond standard planning-it's an opportunity to work on meaningful projects, collaborate with a motivated team, and contribute to the efficiency of our transport operations., + Develop and implement effective transport plans that optimise efficiency and performance.
+ Analyse data and schedules to enhance route planning and resource allocation.
+ Collaborate with teams across departments to ensure continuous improvement in transport processes.
+ Maintain clear and effective communication with management teams and sites across the UK to ensure reliable service delivery.
+ Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement.
+ Represent drivers' feedback to ensure performance-driven efficiencies are implemented.
+ Prioritise safety and O'Licence compliance, ensuring all transport operations meet legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various teams. + Skill in navigating high-stress scenarios and thriving in an engaging work atmosphere. + Willingness to learn and develop new IT skills as required. + Experience with Paragon Planning System (Desirable) + Knowledge of demand planning (Desirable) This is a valuable chance to acquire practical experience in national transport planning while collaborating with a team that prioritises efficiency, innovation, and cooperation.
