In Cyber Prevent, the Solution Engineers work closely alongside the Platform Managers as part of the platform leadership team for their cyber security platform/s, which will collectively ensure that their platform/s provide an effective first line of defence for the related Cyber Security Baseline controls and are delivering optimum risk reduction to meet the required adequacy and coverage for the platform/s. The platform leadership team has to also ensure their platform/s are globally consistent; effective and efficient; they will also be responsible for defining and driving the global platform roadmap and leading the virtual & matrixed platform. The platform leadership team will work intimately with central Group Technology and Cyber Security teams & globally dispersed local Cyber Security teams to ensure that the related Cyber Security Baseline controls Vodafone's global risk posture relating to the platform is being appropriately managed. Solution Engineer will be part of the platform leadership team for their cyber security platform/s, who will collectively be responsible to define the global platform roadmap.
With us you will:
Working as part of the platform leadership team to define the global platform roadmap and lead its delivery through virtual & matrixed teams. Good understanding and hands on experience with breadth of knowledge across Microsoft Office 365, Azure Security Center
Good understanding and hands on experience of Microsoft Azure and in particular, its security related services and its licensing components. Liaise with different vendor product groups organising regular update and roadmap sessions feeding strategic knowledge into relevant parts of Cyber Security
Working with Domain leads and fellow Solution Engineers within Cyber Prevent to ensure that all the cyber security platforms within the domains are: globally consistent; effective and efficient; have the right technical adequacy and coverage; and are delivering the optimum risk reduction effect.
Support the Platform Manager in the service availability & quality management of the platform including demand management, service design, platform management, change management, licence management, continual service improvement.
Professional operational experience in cyber security operations or cyber security engineering, cyber security platform management.
Track record of delivering cyber security platform operations in a complex & dynamic technology environment.
Personal experience and judgement to be able to quickly determine the right operational treatment of cyber security platforms.
Strong analytical skills to inform effective data driven decisions on service improvement & risk reduction
Active & compelling engagement of people and stakeholders, across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, up to and including Cyber Security Leadership Team level.
Communicating & reporting concise summaries of complex scenarios & information across diverse and senior stakeholder groups.
Strong knowledge and experience on Microsoft licensing SKUs and their suitability or possible constraints against business requirements
