Job Description

The Compliance Standards & Evaluation post is an integral part of the management of the Coningsby SF facility. The role will be required to work with local management to ensure that all output will be compliant with the specific requirements of the aforementioned. They will also be required to provided mentorship, development and continuation training for all staff employed on the Typhoon aircraft.

What will I be doing?

  • Perform additional compliance inspections within the scope of their authorization.

  • Ensure that correct trade practices are employed, and a high standard of workmanship is maintained.

  • Evaluate and provide continuous professionally development to all staff to ensure they retain competency and remain as suitable qualified experienced person

  • Provide mentoring, guidance and assistance to staff who require development in their current role or future role

  • Where tasked, staff compliance against mandatory training is tracked and reported to the SM to be recorded (EAD).

  • Provide on-site training to all staff before the maintenance or operation of unfamiliar equipment or before handling dangerous substances, record of training and authorisations are to be kept.

  • Continually monitor and review all Typhoon Technical Data Modules including SE's, Mod's, Si's and initiate through the chain of command any amendments/changes required.

  • Co-ordinate continual improvement for facilities and activities, encourage all staff to be actively involved in continual improvement initiatives and, as necessary, provide on relevant strategies, tools, and techniques.

  • Monitor all SSOW and highlight all changes to the SM for review to ensure technical process compliance.

  • SMS compliance- Ensure all technical SF documentation and aircraft drawings / data sets in use are current and to the correct AL state.

  • The maintenance of staff RPE and monthly testing of facility Compressed Breathing Air.

Candidate Description

  • Appropriate experience as a RAD painter and finisher tradesman and manager (NCO Level) or time served civilian equivalent in the trade of Military Aircraft Refinishing.

  • NVQ 3 in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent pathway

  • Full Driving License (desirable)
