Job Description

We currently have an exciting interim, 6-month, vacancy for a Internal Communications Manager to join our team.The successful individual will be hands-on in a fast-paced role, delivering people-led campaigns that drive a great employee experience and support our operational and business goals.The individual will need to be confident in dealing with a variety of stakeholders, implementing and embedding creative communications and engagement campaigns, writing brilliant communications, championing the overall employee experience,u00a0and able to measure and evaluate effectiveness for ongoing improvements. Theyu2019ll need to be hands-on, as well as able to think both strategically and tactically.The role is London based, however there will be a requirement to travel to other UK locations to build relationships with key stakeholdersKey responsibilitiesAct as an expert advisor on Internal Communications activities, particularly around business strategy, employee engagement and leadership communications.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the communications function by sharing best practice and participating in cross functional working and projects.Write compelling communications, including those from Executive and Leadership, that support our strategy, direction and areas of business focus.Ensure communications are integrated across internal, external and recruitment channels, looking for opportunities to align and amplify the right messages.Work closely with the Group Head of Internal Communications u00a0and the wider Internal Comms team to execute the strategy for front-line engagement across Mitie.Proactively engage with the activities of the organisation to promote best practice and highlight achievements through excellent clear and consistent communications, which help to embed the culture of Mitie.Effectively plan, create, deliver and measure activities as part of our broader internal communications and engagement agenda.Support the day-to-day management, utilisation and development of our range of internal communications channels, including online, social and print as well as our network of Line Managers and communicators.Continually look for opportunities to improve consistency, accessibility and reach of our content u2013 particularly to front-line employeesDrive creativity and innovation through our communications interventions, whilst aligning to corporate brand and tone of voice, and embedding our values.Role model Mitie behaviours and champion the Mitie values and culture., Health and Safety responsibilitiesFollow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;Information SecurityEnsure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;Report actual and suspected security incidents;u00a0NoteThis job description Is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for this position and the range of duties undertaken.
