As a Senior Business Analyst your main responsibilities would be: You will provide high quality, practitioner level, outcome focussed business analysis within the 'Organisation Design and Development' Programme, which aims to design new ways of working against a brand-new regulatory model that supports our new strategy and target operating model. You will be a core team member who supports the programme to understand and define how the organisation will work in the future. You will use your business change experience to help define capabilities, process, roles and responsibilities, and new organisation structures. You will work with other programmes ensuring they understand the new ways of working and their service designs are aligned accordingly. You will ensure the new business processes and business rules are strategically aligned and will support the CQCs roadmap to implementing our new target operating model. We are seeking a practitioner level Business Analyst with a proven track record working in major business transformation programmes, you must have experience developing key artefacts to support a Target Operating Model. You will be a pro-active individual who is proficient with understanding the bigger picture. You will work with another Senior Business Analyst, Subject Matter Experts from various business functions and other core programme team members and will define, plan and monitor your business analysis outcomes in line with programme needs. You will be comfortable engaging and influencing senior leadership roles to achieve the right outcomes and will do this through effectively translating messages in a way the audience understands. You will also possess good knowledge of a wide range of business analysis frameworks and methodologies and experience of applying them appropriately in different change contexts. You'll have relevant experience in:

  • Must have a senior level knowledge of Business Analysis and should maintain this through internal and external research of the wider BA industry.

  • Must have achieved the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent.

  • Good knowledge of project management approaches, experience in both waterfall and agile delivery approaches with knowledge of multiple agile methods including Scrum.

  • Knowledge of BPMN2.

  • Experience of operating across complex changes, guiding a project team towards a clearly defined vision.

  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams to achieve results across multiple areas.

  • Strong influencing skills, particularly with respect to senior internal stakeholders.

  • Good leadership skills, including an ability to motivate and inspire junior BAs, and modelling exemplary leadership skills and behaviours.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret raw data and drive forward key decisions as priorities for improvement, and ability to adopt a systematic approach to business analysis.

  • Strong communication (e.g. verbal, written, presentational, etc.) and engagement skills and able to successfully engage with senior levels of staff in CQC.

  • Strong facilitation skills and experience of designing and leading workshops and structured interviews, as well as facilitating team discussions.

  • Problem solving skills.
