Mitie has a great opportunity for a number of dedicated Security Support Officers to join the Total Security Management Team at our FedEx Belfastu00a0contract based in Crumlin, Co Antrim.Shifts will be availableu00a0to cover holidays and uplifts in work as well as short notice sickness/absence cover.u00a0Our Security Support Officers must be available to cover various shift patterns as well as being flexible in their approach to working locations and potential changes to working patterns.u00a0The pay rate is u00a39.00 per hourMain DutiesThe Security Support Officers will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers.As the first point of contact for to all customers and clients, the Security Support Officersu00a0must have geographically aware of their local surroundings.Travel to various corporate client sites to cover sickness, holiday and provide support to the core teams when required.Must be able to man the phones, CCTV and Alarm systemsThe Security Support Officers must spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services.Report to the duty Supervisor and Site Manager u2013 they must record, report and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis.
Person SpecificationThe Security Support Officers will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.The Security Support Officers should be able to work on own initiative.Gatehouse security experience is preferredu00a0Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs.Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.It is important the Security Support Officers can remainu00a0calm under pressure.Understand the Health and Safety at Work ActSecurity Guarding License essential.Drivers licence and own transport essentialu00a0Must be able to achieve an aviation qualification to work on site
