Job Description

As a Gatehouse Security Officer, you will be protecting the customer's employees, property and other assets.

  • Guaranteed 42 hours per week

  • Must be flexible and open to travelling to and working at different sites

  • Fuel expenses paid for use of own vehicle at 30p per mile

  • Working days, nights and weekends

  • Working on a 4 on 4 off basis

    How you will make an impact:

  • Based within a busy Gatehouse booking in and out visitors and vehicles.

  • Operating the Weighbridge

  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV.

  • Conduct external and internal security patrols.

  • Maintain all logbooks and records.

  • Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to management.

  • Provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors

  • Identify opportunities for improving practices and processes

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Candidate Description

  • Must have an SIA licence

  • Must have a Driving licence and own transport

  • Must have the right to work in the UK

  • Have a five year checkable employment history

  • Gatehouse Security experience essential

  • Be able to work days, nights and weekends

  • Be available as and when called upon to cover shifts, occasionally at short notice

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus

  • Be punctual and reliable

  • Be smart and presentable in appearance

  • Computer literate

  • No current criminal convictions

  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
