v Maintain access control to high profile buildings as per Assignment Instructions (A.I's).
v Act as a deterrent to unauthorised access into DB premises, politely challenge and re-direct visitors and staff who do not have valid access to the buildings.
v Remain vigilant at all times to safeguard the security of all personnel and assets within each DB premises.
v To deal with the client and the clients staff in a professional, effective and customer engaging manner.
v At all times ensure that the building(s) under your care are well presented, clean and tidy, in good repair and condition by way of reporting maintenance issues as required.
v Maintain written communication in accordance with A.I's.
v Carry out the un-locking and locking of prescribed rooms/buildings as required by the client.
v Escalation and reporting of any/all security breaches in accordance with A.I's.
v Respond to emergency situations and assist with emergency building evacuations when necessary.
v Adhere to the Equal Opportunities/Health and Safety policies on behalf of both MITIE and the client.
v Ensure that the log books for each building(s) under your care are present, completed and up to date.
v Carry out internal, external patrols and priority door checks of each respective building thoroughly ensuring any security/maintenance issues identified are reported and documented immediately.
v Be versatile in your ability to work on a variety of sites including internal/external business events when required.
v Maintain clear, concise radio and telephone communication to colleagues and MITIE management at all times.
v Provide security escorts when required and requested to do so by MITIE management.
v Report immediately any/all equipment faults to the relevant vendor, providing correct details and in a timely manner.
v Carry out fire watch duties when required and requested to do so by MITIE management.
v Cover Front of House duties when trained and requested to do so by MITIE management.
v Provide first aid if required when responding to an emergency medical situation.
v Cover Security Pass Office/Control Room duties when trained and requested to do so by MITIE management.
v Remain alert to local events which potentially impact business operations.
v Remain pro-active in your approach to the role and escalate any concerns you may have to MITIE management.
v Assist control room staff with carrying out operational checks of all security systems in place when required.
v Respond to executive related emergencies offsite when required and requested to do so by MITIE management.
v Any other duty deemed relevant by line management or contract management.

Communication, The standard progression for the Security Officer would be the position of Security Supervisor which would require the following:
v Comprehensive knowledge of the Deutsche Bank estate.
v Good knowledge of current HR policies.
v Excellent knowledge of all process and policies associated with the Deutsche Bank contract.
v Good level of man management experience.
v Ability to manage an incident and excellent understanding of individual roles and responsibilities in an emergency situation.
v Good written and verbal communication skills.
