Job Description


We have an opportunity for a Project Estimator to join our Construction North West team in Manchester, to effectively utilise skills, experience and knowledge within a team environment to produce tenders which will win profitable work.

 

 

Key Accountabilities include:

 

Prepare competitive net estimates as well as attend settlements and presentations
Abstract information into subcontract & material packages
Analyse & vet subcontract tender returns
Price elements from ‘first principle’ on a labour, plant & material basis
Quantify & cost plan build costs from limited information to support initial development appraisals
Have a thorough understanding of project, scope of works and restrictions imposed by contractual requirements and site conditions
Establish opportunities/scope to maximize value.
 

 

We are looking for you to be a qualified Project Estimator with a proven track record of analytical estimating and cost planning to tight deadlines, and an in-depth knowledge of both new build low rise residential and new build supported living sectors. You will also need to have broad knowledge of construction methods, and experience of working with estimating software and Excel.

 

 

To be successful in the role you will be self-motivated and an excellent communicator, able to work as part of a team and deliver results.
