You'll be providing support to the Medical Director and Pharmacovigilance (drug safety) Team to enable them to fulfil the requirement to continuously monitor the safety of our licensed medicines, medical devices and other healthcare products and provide accurate and balanced Medical Information to our customers.

What you'll be doing

You'll be receiving and handling initial contacts from customers and healthcare professionals and recording accurate and relevant information in the appropriate databases. You'll be receiving incoming telephone calls to the department, handling them appropriately depending on the nature of the call and referring issues to the relevant manager for resolution where necessary.

You'll also be providing full administrative support to the team, for example maintaining an accurate and effective filing system and preparing and sending follow up correspondence where required; ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act.

Candidate Description

You'll need a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, experience with databases and great computer literacy, especially in word processing. Outstanding communication skills are really important for this role, as you'll require experience in dealing with customers and a flare for customer service.

You'll need high attention to detail, a concern for order and quality and enjoy research and information seeking. You'll have experience in office practice in an administrative or secretarial role, and understand the significance of working with personal and confidential data in a secure and discreet environment..

Qualifications or experience within healthcare, dispensing or medical services would be a bonus but are not essential for this role.
