The successful candidate will work as part of the Utilities Team, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the production dependant steam and compressed air systems for the 24/7/365 manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be a time served mechanical fitter, with knowledge and experience of maintaining steam boilers. A multi-skilled background would be advantageous. This is a full time position, working Monday-Friday, 0745-1615, with a one week in three callout expectation and overtime as and when required. Role Summary:

  • Carrying out plant-related routine duties to ensure plant performance, availability and reliability is maintained to a high level

  • Application of safe systems of work

  • Plant & control system first line fault diagnosis and reporting

  • Application of operational, maintenance and safety systems and documentation for the plant incorporating relevant company standards

  • Assisting on projects and outage preparation

  • General operation and maintenance of plant

  • Responsibility for following site documentation, procedures and assisting with the review of the documents

  • Liaising with internal and external customers

  • Maintain professional attitude, an appropriate level of communication and courteous behaviour to all colleagues, host site personnel, contractors, and visitors

  • To follow the company procedures and standards as expressed in the Company Handbook

Candidate Description

  • Experience of diagnosis and repair of mechanical failures.

  • Routine preventative maintenance.

  • Knowledge of steam systems.

  • Knowledge of compressed air systems.

  • Industrial Steam Boiler experience (desirable)

  • Experience of diagnosis and repair of mechanical failures.
