The ISO is an entry-level role within intelligence and is responsible for supporting SIU operations and the delivery of intelligence products and services to Securitas and Securitas' customers. The role is suited to someone who is looking to begin a career in intelligence; previous intelligence / investigations / security is advantageous but not essential.
The primary focus of the ISO is to support SIU operations, including providing data and information management, and administrative support.
The ISO will initially report to the Head of Intelligence (before transitioning to the Intelligence Operations Manager). The role requires an aptitude for research, an aspiration to develop analytical skills, and developing report writing skills, in addition to proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Office, and the willingness to learn how to use specific IT systems including intelligence tools.
Working within a dynamic and demanding environment, the role requires flexibility and agility, including mobilising on short notice to meet operational requirements. The role is a 4-on 4-off shift pattern and will require evening and weekend work. Travel may be required to visit customers on occasions. Responsibilities will evolve over time, with opportunities for ongoing development and progression.
How you will make an impact as a Intelligence Support Officer:
The role will be responsible for supporting collection, processing, and analysis of data and information to inform the production of intelligence products and services, and support dissemination of these to customers internally and commercially, within the UK and globally.
The role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of timely, accurate, relevant, and actionable intelligence products to internal and commercial stakeholders.
The role will be required to develop and maintain an understanding of intelligence methodologies, tools, and processes.
The role will develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
Using knowledge and systems available to them, the ISO is a critical role in ensuring that Securitas is able to stay ahead of threats and protect our customer's interests. The role is part of the Securitas Intelligence Unit based in Securitas' Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Milton Keynes, UK.
Full 5-year checkable work history.
Valid UK driving licence.
Work with key stakeholders including internal and client-facing staff.
Emerging ability to research and assimilate large volumes of data and prepare and produce research-based reports.
Good communication skills with the ability to listen to others and communicate in order to ensure understanding.
Ability to prioritise and plan own work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision, to meet objectives and deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure.
Able to interpret and apply guidance to a specific activity.
