To support the service delivery of the COVID-19 testing labs, we are seeking to recruit individuals to work as part of a team of General Assistants in Leamington. As the testing programme ramps up, the government has significantly increased the support that is needed.
You will provide a high quality, timely, responsive and proactive service to meet the needs of the contract. You will undertake tasks such as; portering, general and lab cleaning, catering, waste duties and PPE stock management.,
Carry out all routine cleaning duties at the prescribed times and in compliance with the specific area policies and procedures at all times.
Undertake clinical deep cleaning
Undertake portering duties
Ensure to adhere to site guidelines and procedures at all times, always wearing the correct PPE as required
Undertake training on hand washing and ensure personal hygiene is maintained to a high level
Disposal of waste including clinical and domestic waste
Ensure continuous supply of PPE is available
Commitment to the work and to following the strict guideline and procedures required
Undertake training on hand washing and ensure personal hygiene is maintained to a high level
Undertake all other duties as required
Candidate Description
Previous experience as a cleaner
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Must be able to physically stand for several hours with good mobility
You must be over 18 and in general good health with no symptoms of COVID-19, nor must anyone in your household.
Native or bilingual proficiency level English
Commitment to the work and adhere to the strict guidelines and procedures required
Effective communication and customer care skills with visitors, clients, and staff
Ability to deal with clinical waste, smells, bodily excretions/fluids and dirt
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to deal with stressful situations
