Contract Assurance Analyst (Inside IR35) | Ref: PSR0022943

As a Contract Assurance Analyst your main responsibilities would be: + Supporting overarching Assurance objectives through identifying and obtaining the information and evidence required for assurance of effective contract management from a variety of sources. + Supporting the Operational Delivery team to deliver the annual programme of audit and assurance activities to operationally audit and analyse provider delivery data including; regular sample testing of performance information & validation of reported data; involvement in periodic process review activities and thematic review exercises. + Reviewing and monitoring performance data in relation to designated supplier contracts + Supporting Contract Managers in the delivery of on-going contract management activities with Suppliers - e.g. reviewing data sets, monitoring KPIs, benchmarking, identifying and mitigating risks, supporting financial invoice validation, trend analysis and following-up requests for information. + Conducting research and analysis activities as required by Contract Managers - e.g. review of stakeholder surveys and opinions, analysis of MI trends and issues, Key Performance Indicators, effective asset management, development of 'good practice' case studies, reporting on risk and monitoring the Provision of third-party commissioned services. + Interpreting data, analysing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports to support the objective of providing quality services at value for money. + Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies. + Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets. + Working with management to prioritise business and information needs and providing management information on performance and trend analysis.

Candidate Description

You'll have the following relevant skills/experience in: + Experience of working within a Contract Management environment for a large and/or complex organisation + Proven working experience as an Assurance Analyst, Contract Analyst or Business Data Analyst + An understanding of Contract Management good practices and standards, e.g. as defined by NAO, Government Commercial Function, etc. + Understanding and experience of internal and external audit and assurance processes and methodology + Knowledge and understanding of the operational practice and risks in a healthcare environment + Existing knowledge in risk, compliance or assurance, ideally including knowledge of the three lines of defence model + Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques + Good knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks) + Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc) + Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
