Assistant Technical Officer - Pharmacy Production | Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

Candidate Description

This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and team working skills. You will be required to support in the manufacture and assembly of a variety of products including sterile, non-sterile and over-labelled products. You will receive and respond to basic telephone queries and receive and process orders for products to be manufactured. You will also pack products for dispatch to wards, departments and external customers.

You must be able to work accurately under pressure, be able to prioritise work and be able to work alone or as part of a team. After full training you will participate in the training of staff new to the department.

Previous experience of a working in a pharmacy or pharmacy production role would be beneficial, however consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate good communication and organisation skills.

You will be required to work towards a Buttercups Stock Management Programme (equivalent to an NVQ level 2 qualification)

You will be required to work in clean room environments and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures.

You'll need to be able to work 37.5 hours over 7 days of the week as required and as the service develops, you may be required to work a shift system. The department offers a weekend and bank holiday on-call service which you will be expected to participate in once fully trained.
