Job Description

As a Police Services Administrator, you will be a key member of the Business Operations Team, providing professional administrative support to the Care & Custody Police Services Governance & Development Team and the Business Operations Manager.

You will often be the first port of call for training and administration queries so a calm, helpful nature, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to use your initiative are essential.

You will always challenge the status quo and look at ways of improving current processes to drive a more streamlined, cost-effective approach.

Other duties will include providing pre and post course administration (occasional travel to course venues may be required), processing and analysing training data, providing administrative support for meetings, and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.,

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;

  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;

  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;

  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system

Candidate Description

The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft programmes, good organisation skills, and the ability to manage their own time and work unsupervised., Essential

Employer Description

Care & Custody Police Services deliver critical medical support services into police custody suites and sexual assault referral centres across 13 Police forces in England and Wales.

These include three integrated Forensic Medical and Liaison & Diversion contracts, delivering adult and youth comprehensive services across key points of intervention in the criminal justice system and addressing a wide range of health issues and vulnerabilities which assist in the reduction of reoffending. In fact, we secured the first ever integrated Forensic Medical examination and Liaison & Diversion contract with Greater Manchester Police.

We have successfully implemented a nurse-led model to provide healthcare services in custody. This approach offers better career pathways for our skilled employees, increased timeliness to attend call-outs, improved services and better value for money for our customers.

We have also expanded into the delivery of custodial detention services on behalf of the Police.
