What will you be doing?
An important, new opportunity has arisen within the Networks function for a Telecoms Security Manager. This role is responsible for establishing and supporting the roll out of a network security regime to comply with the new TSR (Telecoms Security Requirements) legislation.
You will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating and driving the Networks Technology Security portfolio in order to enable senior management to take informed risk based decisions and develop and implement action plans to address security risk issues in line with government recommendations., You will ensure TSR gets visibility and attention across Networks and help build a full understanding of TSR, the impact on the function plans and budget. You will define TSR related RACI within the function, and support local 'TSR champions' (i.e. SMEs, architects) in understanding responsibilities and achieving compliance controls.
In addition you will consolidate feedback from the SMEs to TSR programme, regarding impact/challenges or queries for further clarification and assist with dedicated technical workshops by identifying the correct SMEs and architects who should attend.
Experience delivering infrastructure projects desirable: familiar with security and connectivity challenges faced when these requirements are implemented.
A broad understanding of network topologies including fixed and mobile will be required (Radio, Core, Transmission)
Self starter, able to interact at CX level and manage entire Networks TSR Programme.
Broad understanding of the end-to-end Networks technical functions and architecture.
