Job Description

To manage projects and associated small works secured by Mitie,u00a0either forming part of the maintenance contract, or stand alone projects. All projects to be delivered in a profitable and creditable way whilst endeavouring to exceed customer expectations.u2022 Essential to have a demonstrable competency level of building services projectu00a0 management. M&E and specifically Decarbonisation projects suchu00a0as PV and ASHPs.u2022 To be responsible for the P&L of the project relevant to the contract.u2022 To produce project management reports consistent with project delivery.u2022 To produce, update and monitor project expenditure throughout the project process.u2022 To keep close professional contact with management and clients, to be able to monitor customer satisfaction.u2022 To ensure the company Health & Safety policy is adhered to.u2022 To ensure compliance with the Mitie Business Management System and be instrumental in leading and implementing the procedures and instructions with particular attention to the areas of responsibility indicated in the document.To manage project awards both operationally and financially to ensure correct operation within budget.u2022 To assist in the preparation ofu00a0estimates and quotations with appropriate back up documentation in accordance with company procedures.u2022 To accept and clarify customer task orders and briefs up to an agreed level and prepare specifications and Activity Schedules for procurement exercise and on site project delivery.u2022 To determine priorities in conjunction with the Projects Team for the allocation of direct and sub-contract labour.u2022 Liaise with projects supervisors where applicable, to ensure the effective deployment in completing electrical, mechanical, building fabric and any other associated project works.To manage and monitor direct and sub-contract labour to ensure the expected standards of Mitie are maintained in line with Mitieu00a0Proceduresu2022 Prepare project programmes to meet contract requirements and optimise the use of direct and sub-contract labour.u2022 When necessary, liaise with client representatives and Contract Managers, to ensure that all works are completed within agreed timescales.u2022 Undertake, where necessary, site safety, CDM 2015, method statements, risk assessments and site inspections in line with Mitie Procedures.u2022 The candidate must have demonstrable experience running projects up to a maximum of u00a31.5 M. The majority of projects with range from u00a31K to u00a3250K and the successful candidate will be expected to run multiple projects at any time.u2022 The role is based out of the Essex County Hall, Chelmsford, but the candidate will be required to undertake significant travel between the client sites.u00a0
