Job Description

  • Provide security systems technology expertise in support of and in conjunction with the Technical Director for Defence, Account Director, and the Project Delivery Team.

  • Support the Securitas sales process for CAPEX and Solutions based revenue streams.

  • Undertake investigative technical surveys of installed systems to determine performance, suitability, and depth of deployment in reference to mitigating Client Identified Threat and Risk (T&R) profiles and their defined operational requirements (OR).

  • Create gap analysis of technology omissions resulting in the prevalence of vulnerabilities to assets, people and reputation due to non-compliance with deployed technologies not adequately addressing T&R and the OR.

  • Design and price remedies that remove identified vulnerabilities in line with the Unified Technology Standard (UTS).

    How you will make an impact as a Technical Manager - Systems Designer:

  • Determine current electronic and physical threat and risk mitigation measures.

  • Assess the appropriateness of current mitigation measures.

  • Identify the shortfall in mitigation measures and produce a gap analysis.

  • Research and design technology-based solutions to address the site's security needs in response to their risk and threat based operational requirement.

  • Costing of the proposed technology solution and where necessary liaise with and include the submittal of a scope of works requirement to third party suppliers and contractors for the purpose of sub-contractor pricing.

  • Liaise with the Technical Director for Defence to create a Solutions or CAPEX proposal.

  • Support the Technical Director for Defence, the Project Director, Operations Team and Account Director in the delivery of Solutions presentations to customer stakeholders and buyers.

  • Liaise with the Electronic Systems Project Management Office (PMO) and its back office support team in their delivery of a proposed solution.

  • The successful candidate will be a full-time contributor to an existing team consisting of several surveyors and designers.

Candidate Description

What you will bring to be a Technical Manager - Systems Designer:

  • 5-year checkable work history.

  • Have the Right to Work in the UK

  • Valid UK driving licence.

  • Ideally the candidate will be security cleared to BPSS and ideally up to SC Level.

  • UK National for SC purposes.

  • Able to demonstrate extensive career experience in the security systems integrator market sector.

  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge base with respect to a wide range of products particularly best of class and innovation.

  • Able to self-manage the delivery of design and sales goals and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Be comfortable with and contribute positively to a dynamic team environment.

  • Is at ease in a consultative role working collaboratively with buyer stakeholders at all levels.

  • Produce accurate progress reports in program.

  • Willing to learn new skills and expand product portfolio knowledge.,
