Job Description

This role contributes to Starbucks success by providing talent acquisition support to the UK Market Business Unit (MBU). As a talent acquisition specialist, you will be the point of contact for all recruitment requests and queries in the MBU, you will build strong relationships internally with functional hiring leads and with external partners and suppliers. You will design and deliver effective specialist recruitment campaigns whilst managing the end to end candidate journey and ensuring an efficient and values driven candidate experience. You will ensure that the UK retail business is supported with relevant tools and processes for volume hiring. You will be an ambassador for our mission and values and will play a key role in attracting and retaining the very best talent.,

  • In conjunction with UK PRO business partner, monitor ongoing recruitment needs for UK support centre, providing a weekly update for functional hiring managers

  • Maintain regular communication with the retail PRO business partners, districts and recruitment advocates to understand the recruitment demand in retail ? ensuring relevant process and tools are in place to support.

  • Develop with the support centre Hiring Manager the recruitment strategy per role, map process, and agree timescales in view of finding the best candidate ? up to Senior Manager.

  • Deliver a consistent and efficient internal and external recruitment process for all UK Support Centre hiring managers, offering expert advice and ensuring an excellent candidate experience.

  • Maintain effective communication throughout hiring campaigns and deliver regular recruitment updates to hiring managers, UK PRO lead and senior manager talent acquisition, EMEA.

  • Build and nurture talent pools of internal and external candidates within your support centre functional areas. Be an expert on the requirements of your business partners and anticipate future needs.

  • Shape a culture where agency usage is a contingency. Build, develop and manage strong partnerships with recruitment agencies and other recruitment suppliers.

  • Coaches and advises hiring managers in selection processes for both internal and external Support Centre recruitment to ensure a professional service, candidate experience and quality hire.

  • Provides an enriching candidate experience, representing the company culture and providing valuable feedback throughout the recruitment process to both candidates and hiring managers.

  • Interface with the EMEA Opportunity & Education team to help facilitate the assessment and hiring of; refugees, apprentice for retail and support centre, ex-offenders.

  • Maintains the data held in Taleo (ATS) for UK support centre hiring alongside monitoring retail data and trends; subject matter expert for retail Online Hiring System (Taleo) and Retail Recruitment Tools,

  • You will be the main point of contact for retail hiring in the UK, and a custodian of the process. You will manage the retail jobs mailbox and ensure the most relevant and innovative tools are in place for volume hiring.

  • In conjunction with the senior talent acquisition manager EMEA you will help build and execute appropriate employer branding campaigns for the UK retail business.

  • Update and maintain retail recruitment events calendar ? including job fairs, job centre hiring events, support centre roadshow event.

  • Works closely with the EMEA talent acquisition team to ensure consistency in process, candidate experience and sharing of talent for all support centre functions.

  • Provides the guidance, advice and coaching to the business and support centre hiring managers to ensure compliance with recruitment legislation framework, constantly delivering continuous improvement in recruitment and selection methods and processes.

  • Puts together support centre job offers, negotiates with candidates, closes offers and hands over to partner resources;

  • Sustains and enriches knowledge and skills by pro-actively pursuing personal development and industry expertise with the support of the Senior Manager Talent Acquisition EMEA and builds personal relationships and networks.

  • Provides analysis and information detailing the success rates of recruitment campaigns and up-to-date status recruitment needs and activity

  • Manages the implementation of retail recruitment campaigns and on-going process of identifying recruitment techniques and tools to attract and retain the very best talent and potential for the future

  • Working closely with Learning Manager UK on updating and delivering recruitment training workshop for retail.

  • Supporting various PRO UK project e.g: Talent and Attraction Working Group, Inclusion and Diversity.

Candidate Description

  • Experience of working in a fast paced in house recruitment position.

  • Experience of specialist recruitment lifecycle management: job brief to offer.

  • Experience of working with a high-volume recruitment process advantageous (retail preferably).

  • Experience of working with recruitment suppliers.

  • Experience of working with LinkedIn Recruiter for direct recruitment searches.

  • Knowledge of external job boards and applicant tracking systems (Taleo).

  • Robust approach to work requiring attention to detail.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Intermediate MS Office suite experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Strong organizational skills including proven ability to prioritise work effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence at senior level.

  • Customer focused with a proven ability to deal with people at all levels.

  • Understands the importance of confidentiality in the work environment.

  • Ability to manage/ support multiple projects.

  • Ability to present in front of small/medium groups.
