This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the existing Mental Health Team to work with multi-disciplinary team colleagues from Westgate service and across the OPD pathway . The post holder will be responsible for the assessment and management of casework of service users who have a variety of complex Occupational Therapy needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health conditions. In collaboration with the Multi-disciplinary team to assess and formulate an understanding of men referred and undergoing treatment on the unit. The role will also involve developing and facilitating group based activities to meet service user needs and working with colleagues from other disciplines to develop activities to support the existing activity regime.

Westgate Personality Disorder Treatment Service (PDTS) is a discrete unit based within HMP Frankland. HMP Frankland is a Male, Category A High Secure prison in Durham. Westgate Personality Disorder Treatment Service was established as a pilot project in 2004 to offer treatment to those diagnosed with 'Dangerous and Severe Personality Disorder'. Westgate PDTS is now firmly embedded in the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway, offering treatment to men who require high secure prison arrangements and have the most complex of clinical presentation, in respect of Personality Disorder and risk of offending.
