To support and enhance our Networking, Cloud Networking, Network Virtualization and SDN capabilities
Engage and collaborate closely with our Strategic Architects, Cloud Infrastructure and InfoSec teams to determine opportunities for tactical and strategic advancement
Progress development and adoption of Cisco's ACI usage within our estate
Deploy and support new infrastructure solutions and integrations in both on premise, public cloud and hybrid environments which provide environmental and operational simplicity.
Understands architectural concepts and can create design artefacts (detailed diagrams and documentation) for engineering and operational peers.
Ensure adherence to set standard best practices configuration including security hardening and performance tuning
Makes directional recommendation, considering multiple factors, including risks, alignment with network strategy and roadmap and cost/benefit analysis.
Represent Network Engineering in the EADS board reviewing new products, solutions and architecture design standards.
Engage peers in technical dialog considering new ideas and applicability to the organisation's environment. Managing, monitoring and supporting the "Design" functional requirements received through business demand
Ensuring global standardisation of solutions
Working across multiple technologies such as Mainframe, Network, Storage & Compute, Database, Data Centre's and Capacity
Ensuring adoption of DevSecOps, Brilliant&Basics & CI/CD principles
Supporting a positive "can do" culture
The candidate will be working closely with key stakeholders to ensure Infrastructure Services are deployed consistently across the globe, which will require the use of objective metrics that demonstrate positive progress.
