Job Description

Location - Grafton Shopping Centre Cambridge,

  • Direct supervision of all Security Staff and, Cleaning Staff.

  • Ensure the Security Officers & Cleaning Staff carry out their duties in line with the Operating Procedures and are aware of what standards are required of them

  • Carry out daily staff briefings with each team prior to operations ensuring any essential information is passed on accordingly to both day and night shifts.

  • Ensure that all staff are mindful of always delivering a high level of customer service

  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance ensuring any training needs which are identified are addressed promptly and in a manner that does not disrupt or adversely affect the operation

  • Creating a safe and comfortable working and shopping environment for employees and visitors.

  • Creating an environment that produces a positive team approach, an open attitude and ensures that staff well being is always a priority

  • Know and implement The Major Incident Management Plan, threats and evacuations as required.

  • Be able to provide duty manager cover as required.

  • To assist centre management in the delivery of Best Service, Best Standards and Best Team.

Candidate Description

The position holder for this role will effectively be the number two on site for the provision of security and cleaning. This role reports into the Soft Services Manager along with regular communication with the on-site client. This role is an excellent development opportunity for anyone wishing to make a career in soft services / facilities management. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on dynamic person with good communication and people skills., We are looking for somebody with a proven track record of Supervising Teams either Security or Cleaning. Must have a hands-on approach and be somebody who can lead by example.
