Job Description

u00a0We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic person to joint our growing Facilities family.Our Technicians provide a delivery of facilities support services across our portfolio of Leisure sites. The role will be responsible for carrying out a range of general / fabric maintenance and business support tasks. They will report to the Facilities Manageru00a0and assist mobile engineers as required in the delivery of reactive, planned and ad hoc maintenance tasks.Although there is an expectancy of competency in the role suitable training and up-skilling - May be given, as and when required, to achieve the ability to perform the dutiesu00a0(as detailed in responsibilities).Working hours u2013 Although the core working hours are shifts between 06:00 to 18:00, there may be a certain degree of flexibility depending on individual circumstances.Key duties, though not exhaustive, are listed below;Maintenance of swimming pool plant and chemical analysis of swimming pool water with the ability to make adjustment where necessary.u00a0Management of site activities including putting contractors to work, induction procedures and quality checking.Supervision of cleaning colleagues during daily activities.Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks as scheduled (fire alarm tests, flushing of little used outlets / water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, etc.)Monthly utilities meter readingsFirst line response to reactive repairsRe-lamping of defective luminariesMinor building fabric repairsMinor decorating tasksMinor plumbing repairsGeneral office cleaning as scheduled for remote sites (by exception)Cleaning of toilet facilities and replenishment of consumables for remote sites (by exception)Other general cleaning or janitorial duties as requested (by exception)Supporting external landscaping and cleaning as required (by exception)Ad hoc porterage duties (Moves & changes, furniture management & moves, etc.)Maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work ordersComply fully with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.Completion of documentation as required, including RAMS and adhere to all associated permitsParticipation in standby rota for emergency calls, outside normal working hours.Flexibility in work hours to provide cover if required for holidays and sickness absence.To assist all trades within the team and through the correct training be able to complete tasks away from your core skillsProvide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely mannerProactively walk the Sites, reporting any maintenance or H&S issues to the helpdesk and appropriate manager.

Candidate Description

Experience of building maintenance, handyperson or janitorial dutiesIn depth knowledge of Leisure Centre operations in particular Swimming pool plant.u00a0Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environmentHave a proactive approach to maintenance and building managementConfident, driven and pro-activeAble to do the job right and do it right first time, within a pre-determined timescaleWillingness to undertake further trainingAbility to provide a schedule of works for identified additional/remedial worksWriting and following risk and method statements as required on a daily basisProvide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely mannerGood knowledge of building Statutory ComplianceUK driveru2019s license desirableu00a0Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer based systemsGood communication skills and the ability to work within a teamExperience of working within a customer focused environmentWanting to achieve success, for his or her self, the business and the customerFlexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive)Presented in a clean and tidy manner to represent the company, in the most professional manner possible, utilising the uniform and PPE issuedResponsible for self and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendmentsHSE management in accordance with our (Interserve) Quality Management System and all legal and statutory requirementsProvide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner
