Job Description

The Site Manager is responsible for managing all security personnel and the day-to-day operational issues impacting on the contract, providing a central point of contact for service delivery development, performance, measurement and centralised reporting which fully demonstrates the Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.,

  • To be the first point of contact for site security function related queries and responsible for managing the resolution of more complex security issues on site and escalating when required to the Security Management Team or our customer's Security Department.

  • Allocation of resources in line with statutory and company standards.

  • Ensure all staffing levels meet the agreed service level and that all recruitment is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedure.

  • Recruitment and succession planning through Securitas and BAE Systems On-Boarding processed.

  • Accurate rostering of all officers ensuring sufficient cover for holidays, sickness and absences, ensuring 100% compliance to contractual hours, planning and staff management to minimise avoidable and non-chargeable costs.

  • Ensure effective training is provided so employees carry out their roles to the required standard.

  • Responsible for all assignment instructions/risk assessments and site documentation is current and in date and fully understood by deployed employees.

  • Responsible and conversant for all operating functions including Access Control, CCTV, detection and Alarm Systems, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting is maintained.

  • Work to agreed practices relating to Health and Safety (SHE) and quality Management.

  • Analysis of complex information to identify security-related tends, reporting these effectively to the customer.

  • Be a good team player and leader, capable of working independently and collaboratively with others

    To build, develop, lead and retain a team of Officers and Supervisors that believe and demonstrate through their work that Securitas is different from other Security Service providers through:

  • Ensuring understanding and demonstrable implementation of the Securitas Values of Integrity; Vigilance and Helpfulness

  • Promote and support the Securitas Career Development initiative.

  • Active steps to maintain communication; recognise achievement and develop the Securitas Community.

Candidate Description

  • GCSE grade C in English & Maths or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years of Security experience

  • Full SIA Licence

  • Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment

  • No current criminal convictions

  • A full UK driving licence

  • Own transport due to the location of the client's site

  • Excellent communication skills both face to face and on the telephone

  • Well presented

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Punctual and reliable

  • To provide all the documentation and vetting information requested

  • Manage multiple tasks

  • The ability to make good judgment and come to sensible conclusions

  • Completion of in-house training within the probation period

  • Computer literate with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook)

  • Change Management

  • Strong organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic leadership

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Commander Control experience

  • Be proactive and willing to use your own initiative and make decisions,

  • First Aid at Work qualification

  • CCTV licence

  • Front of House experience

  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations

  • Basic Health and Safety certificate

  • Knowledge of BS7858
