Job Description

To provide valuation, consultancy advice and analysis and transactional support relating to self storage and leisure assets located throughout the UK and Europe for a range of client types including operator companies, debt providers, property companies, corporates and institutional investors.

CBRE's Operational Real Estate team is the largest in the market and is recognised as the leader in this sector for both transactions and advisory work. This will be a key appointment working within the recently created London based Self Storage team and working with a range of client types with a varied caseload in an expanding market. The self storage group forms part of the wider leisure team and so the work will include leisure projects across the same geography. The role is for an early joiner in this expanding segment with responsibility across both the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking trading and investment valuations together with due diligence for loan, acquisition and accounts purposes in the UK and EMEA region with clients including Big Yellow Group Plc, Storage King, Center Parcs UK and Mitchells & Butlers PLC.

  • Providing advisory and consultancy services such as feasibility studies, purchase reports, and sector overviews as well as driving an expansion of our offer.

  • Analysis of business plans and trading performance for a variety of assets.

  • Preparation of detailed reports and presentation of valuation advice to clients.

  • Working closely with colleagues in our regional offices, and where necessary undertaking work in overseas jurisdictions.

  • Assisting on transactional business in the self storage sector.

Candidate Description

  • Qualified Chartered Surveyor

  • Experience in the valuation of property valued with reference to trading potential desired, but not essential.

  • Interest in the relevant sectors and capability to adapt to a varied workload

  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex proposals

  • Self-motivated while working as part of an energetic and enthusiastic team, with both colleagues and clients

  • Excellent communication skills enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues.

  • Excellent report writing skills and experience in using Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
