Job Description

· All operator tasks (please see Operator job description) as well as:

· Set up the room making sure equipment, software and CCTV is ready for the days operation

· Ensure a robust handover procedure is followed between the day and night teams

· To be a "champion" of operating processes and procedures within the CSOC

· Support Team Leaders and the CSOC management team with adhoc tasks and projects

· Become a role model to less experienced operators and support with adhoc training and development

· Understand and follow the incident escalation process to M&S and Mitie management when required

· Ensure a good working knowledge of new CCTV Systems, fault finding and raising through the correct channels

· Reliable and flexible to working days and hours - ability to provide resilience for team leader and operator rota gaps on an adhoc basis (when operational demand is high)

· Fully understand and comply with both Mitie and M&S policies

· Leading a sub-team of operators:

· Creating a daily plan for the sub-team, liaising with the Team Leaders and Analysts; focusing on data driven and/or other priorities

· First point of contact for Operators relating to daily operations

· Motivating colleagues with a professional and positive attitude

· Support the team leaders in monitoring and driving the performance of the operators in the sub-team to ensure the daily targets and KPI's are met

· Working with integrity to ensure any performance or HR issues are flagged appropriately

Support the Team Leaders leading the team in a way that is in line with company values and behaviours to fulfil their potential and to exceed client's expectations


A more experienced Operator that will take on additional responsibilities in support of the team leaders. This will include deputising for them when required and being responsible for leading a sub-team of operators on a day to day basis.
