Several new engineering initiatives have been identified in the Citizen Information space which are required to support the delivery of the new Application Reference Architecture and DWP Digital's strategic vision. These include Income, Relationships, Residency, Service Award Substitutes, Safeguarding and GUID service. These software services are critical to the delivery of the Application Reference Architecture (ARA) as well as being key components of the 'Green Zone', allowing implementation and delivery of DWP Digital's wider strategic objectives, which are centred around driving efficiencies through evolved & integrated customer journeys and citizen interactions, allowing for increased re-usability, self-service and automation. As a Senior Node.js Developer, your main responsibilities would be: + To work with one or more of these ARA teams to create and maintain software for these new digital services and + Provide technical steer for software design, in line with DWP engineering strategy. You'll have: + Strong Node.js development experience
- Experience with Angular + Strong knowledge of Software Design Patterns + Strong understanding and experience of Database technologies such as Mongo, Postgres, MySQL + Strong CI/CD Automation with GitLab CI, Concourse or similar technology + Experience in Containerisation - tools such as Docker and Kubernetes + Experience with Git and Git branching strategies + Strong understanding and experience of APIs, RESTful services and Microservice Architectures + Experience with TDD & BDD + A Good understanding of AWS. + Experience with Terraform + Experience with Selenium WebDriver + Experience Collaborating across teams of Software Engineers and key technical decision makers to define the strategic vision for our products. + Experience Collaborating with the Principal Software Engineering community to ensure usability, accessibility, security, stability and capacity are embedded in the development of our citizen services.
