Owns the overall media strategy for Boots UK across all paid, earned and owned channels
Owns media planning: understands how commercial and marketing objectives can be delivered through integrated media campaigns. Works in collaboration with commercial teams to agree priorities.
Ensures that media plans are anchored in consumer insight and data, campaign analytics and aligned to customer journeys
Owns the tracking and reporting of media performance; ensures goals and KPI are in place and shared with relevant teams
Owns the relationship and management of the media agency
Utilizes martech to support the delivery of effective campaigns; works closely with data science and AI teams to drive mass personalisation across channels.
Drives meaningful innovation; identifies new, innovative ways of reaching customers. Understands how martech can support the delivery of effective campaigns.
Works closely with the creative and content teams to ensure media assets and media channels are optimized, The Omni-channel media team has been created to ensure our paid, owned and earned media strategy delivers demonstrable commercial performance for the business. This will be achieved through:
- Improved Individual channel performance: acceleration of mass personalisation and our ability to optimise campaigns through data + tech + content
- Improved cross-channel performance through re-engineering our planning process to be customer-centric, not product or channel centric. We will also establish robust cross channel performance tracking and reporting.
- Ensure the integrated media plan is informed by the customer journey and aligned to our commercial objectives
- Develop new media solutions for our brand partners to generate profitable and sustainable growth
Demonstrable expertise in key media channels, particularly across addressable media; solid knowledge of ATL, paid digital channels, organic channels & CRM. Demonstrable ability to develop effective integrated communication plans in line with customer journeys.
8 years' experience of media planning client/agency side; experience of managing media agencies.
Strong commercial acumen; demonstrable ability to drive performance and achieve commercial objectives.
Analytical and data led mindset; keen & proficient user of martech tools including GA, Coremetrics and MTA solutions.
The Senior Manager Media Strategy & Planning (SMMSP)'s role is to define and deliver effective communication strategy and plans across all paid, earned and owned channels.
The SMMSP owns the omni-media strategy for Boots UK and translates commercial and marketing objectives into media briefs. They decide the budget allocation across channels that will deliver optimum commercial or strategic impact; they work closely with our media agency and key internal stakeholders to ensure that the integrated media plans are insight & data based.
The SMMSP owns the media budget for Boots UK. They own the tracking and reporting of integrated media campaigns performance.
