Amazon Logistics is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed UK Regional Facilities Engineering Manager that can drive innovation and execution in transportation networks. As a senior member of the UK Engineering team you will be responsible for the management of all engineering and facilities related tasks within the transportation and delivery network to meet to align with the strategic network plan., Responsible for the overall building and facilities maintenance at multiple sites across the UK utilizing a single team of Facilities and Engineering Managers. Responsible for the support of equipment engineering including specification, purchase and maintenance systems (Conveyors, Labelling Machines, etc.) Develop the strategy and apply Preventive Maintenance Routines on equipment Collate, review and present monthly UK performance data Own the output from the UK performance Take ownership and responsibility for the region in all aspects of Engineering, Facilities, issue management and performance of the KPIs and team Develop the team and align resource as the business grows Be a key participant in UK AMZL team strategy and performance meetings Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability Manage day to day issues on equipment and facilities with Senior business Directors and managers Define priorities with Operations and organizing the work with his/her team Responsible for management of 3rd party maintenance contractors, define SLA's and KPI's. Responsible to keep people working in a safe environment, applying the Amazon Safety Policy and working with the Safety team to improve safety on site. Responsible for building housekeeping to keep the sites within 5S standards Support the projects team for installation of new equipment and the launch of new depots. Also creation of new evolutions in conceptual solutions that is led to successful implementation by role holder

Candidate Description

Significant experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment · Qualified Engineer with an Electrical and/or Mechanical background · Results oriented approach with good analytical, team leadership and organizational skills · Ability to work under pressure in a cross functional organization · Ability to work autonomously · Experience in HVAC installation, Sprinkler, general building equipment · Experience of Subcontractor management including tender processes · Experience in troubleshooting installation, fault finding, and repairs · Ability to read technical drawings and manuals · Previous experience in a senior role managing people · Experience with Health and Safety UK legislation · Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Process. · Computer skills (MS Office, CMMS, AUTOCAD, etc.) · High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills
