· Master Amazon's BI, Retail, and Ops tools and systems such that you can meaningfully support process innovation using automation techniques · Engage stakeholders to convert business problems into analytical problems that can be solved with data, statistics, and scripting · Design, develop, and implement scalable, automated processes for data extraction, processing, and analysis · Mine data and work with business partners to come up with actionable data analysis to understand service usage, drive product and process improvements, and increase service-customer satisfaction · Develop new customer and product analysis insight to enable the business to take smart decisions for our customers and stakeholders · Analyze relevant internal and external information, and uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can materially improve our product and strategy decisions · Build new and/or improve existing presentation layers using Cognos, Tableau, QuickSight or equivalent tools, including summary/aggregated/reporting tables for related program teams to enable self-service BI · Establish new, scalable, efficient, automated processes for tracking and reporting on progress of initiatives · Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines and business-facing reports; review and audit existing ETL jobs and SQL queries · Create and maintain scalable and flexible infrastructure to support BI applications and platform

Candidate Description

· Experience with MS Excel, Access and SQL/SAS · Experience designing and implementing custom reporting systems, in partnership with technical teams · Substantial professional experience in web analytics, business analysis or comparable analytics position · A desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment · Experience working with large-scale, complex datasets · Ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate these to stakeholders and leaders · Real-world experience with data visualization tools such as IBM Cognos analytics, Business Objects, Tableau or QuickSight · Strong written and oral communication skills · Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting · Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment

· MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related analytical field · Strong SQL and Excel expertise to access and transform data into insights · Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, visualization and processing of large data sets · Experience with scripting tools (Python, R, Hive, Pig, etc) to create custom applications based upon analytical needs · Proven capability in statistical analysis (e.g. ability to conduct analyses using regression, significance tests, modeling, forecasting approaches, and related tools) · Demonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL and Data warehousing experience with Oracle, Redshift, PostgreSQL, etc · Experience working in a cloud infrastructure environment, ideally using AWS technologies like Data Pipeline, Redshift, Athena, S3, EC2, Quicksight, etc
