Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Security Supervisor with Security and Leadership experience.

Working for a Global Leader in Technology and Supply Chain Services.

Site based in Cramlington - Monday to Friday - 0800-1600 - hours have a degree of flexibility.

Managing a team of Security Officers, reporting into the regional Branch Manager, as well as the client contact on site for operational purposes.

You will be:

  • Rostering and forward planning reporting officers ensuring sufficient cover for holidays, sickness and holidays

  • Maintaining positive employee relations and ensuring coaching, counselling and any investigations are implemented in line with company policy

  • Monitoring and managing the appearance and behaviours of all Security personnel

  • Encourage staff recognition and staff nominations for awards

  • Ensure site documentation is kept up to date

  • All incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures

  • Planning, development and implementing staff training

  • Monitor faults with security related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly

  • Be fully conversant with operational functions including Access Control, CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems

  • Participate in any arranged company training to improve standards of performance

  • To be the first point of contact on their shift for security function related queries.

Candidate Description

What you will bring as a Security Supervisor:

  • Must hold a valid SIA Licence.

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.

  • Must be over 18.

  • Have a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment or full and part-time education during that period.

  • Be confident, articulate and communicate well both orally and in written language

  • Experience Managing and Leading others

  • Strong communication skills

  • Competent in MS Word, Excel and E-Mail (Outlook)

  • Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion

  • Adaptable and responsive in the face of changes in priorities, plans and schedules

  • Well developed interpersonal and influencing skills.
